Server & Workstation Parts and Components
Build, upgrade, or repair with tested enterprise parts. PC Server & Parts stocks a full range of components for Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, and Lenovo servers, plus Dell Precision, HP Z, and Lenovo ThinkStation workstations — memory, processors, storage drives, RAID controllers, network cards, and more. Every part is tested and matched to your platform so you do not have to guess at compatibility.
Buying Second-Hand PC Components: What to Know
Second-hand PC components — used CPUs, RAM, storage drives, graphics cards, and power supplies pulled from working systems — typically cost 40–70% less than the same parts new, and when properly tested they perform identically. The parts sold here are used PC hardware in exactly that sense: pulled from enterprise machines, individually tested, and covered by 90-day returns.
- Lowest-risk used parts: CPUs and RAM — no moving parts and decades of design life; they either pass testing or they don’t.
- Check the history: hard drives and SSDs — fine to buy used when SMART data and power-on hours are disclosed, as they are in our listings.
- Buy tested only: GPUs and power supplies — condition depends on how hard they were run, so load-testing before sale matters most here.
Shop by Component
- RAM / Memory — DDR3, DDR4 and DDR5 ECC RDIMM/LRDIMM, speed- and platform-matched.
- CPUs / Processors — Intel Xeon (E5, Scalable) and AMD EPYC.
- Hard Drives & Solid State Drives — SAS, SATA and NVMe, securely wiped and SMART-tested.
- Graphics Cards — NVIDIA Quadro/RTX and AMD professional GPUs.
- RAID Cards — Dell PERC, HPE Smart Array, LSI/Broadcom.
- Network Cards & networking — Intel, Mellanox, Broadcom 1/10/25/40GbE.
- Power Supplies, Motherboards, Heatsinks.
- Server Rails, Trays & Adapters, Backplanes — the chassis hardware that completes a build.
Compatibility, Matched for You
Server parts are unforgiving about compatibility — the wrong memory rank, an unsupported RAID firmware, or a caddy that does not fit will cost you a deployment window. Tell us the server or workstation model and we match the part: DDR4 RDIMM at the rated speed for your CPU generation (e.g., 2933 MT/s for Cascade Lake), the correct PERC or Smart Array controller for your backplane, and the right drive caddy for your chassis. Buying the system and its parts from one source keeps everything tested together.
Why Buy Components from PCSP
- Tested before shipping: RAM is load-tested in same-generation hardware; drives are SMART-checked and surface-scanned; parts that fail never ship.
- Securely wiped drives: every storage drive is wiped to industry standards with hours-of-operation reported in the listing.
- Platform-matched: we confirm compatibility against your exact server or workstation model.
- Fast shipping: in-stock parts ship the same business day when ordered before 1:00 pm EST.
Frequently Asked Questions
What server parts and components do you stock?
We carry a full range of server components: DDR3, DDR4, and DDR5 RAM modules; SAS, SATA, and NVMe storage drives (HDD and SSD); Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC processors; RAID controllers (Dell PERC, HPE Smart Array, LSI); network cards (Intel, Mellanox, Broadcom); power supplies; backplanes; drive caddies; and cables. We also stock workstation parts — graphics cards (NVIDIA Quadro, RTX), motherboards, and CPU heatsinks — for Dell Precision, HP Z, and Lenovo ThinkStation systems.
Is it safe to buy second-hand PC components?
Yes — if they are tested and returnable. Used enterprise parts are built for years of continuous duty, and failures cluster at the start of a part’s life, so a component that passes load testing is very likely to keep working for years. Buy from sellers who test every unit, disclose drive hours, and back parts with a real return window — every component at PCSP ships that way.
Are RAM modules tested before shipping?
Yes. Every RAM module is tested in a server of the same generation under sustained load (memtest86+ or vendor diagnostics) before shipping. We verify ECC functionality, full module capacity, and rated speed. RAM purchased from us is matched to the platform you specify (e.g., DDR4 RDIMM at 2933 MT/s for Cascade Lake) so you do not have to worry about compatibility.
Are storage drives wiped and tested?
All storage drives are securely wiped to industry standards before they leave our facility. Each drive is then tested for SMART health, full surface scan (HDD) or block-level integrity (SSD/NVMe), and hours-of-operation are reported in the listing. Drives that do not pass our checks never ship.
What warranty applies to individual components?
PCSP’s free 1-year standard warranty applies to configured units (servers, workstations, desktops) — loose parts purchased separately are not covered under the standard warranty. However, components are still returnable within 90 days of purchase under our standard return policy: dead-on-arrival or non-conforming parts can be returned for a full refund (PCSP covers return shipping for defective items). Items returned as ordered in error or defective but operational on inspection carry a 20% restocking fee. Contact support@pcsp.com or (248) 305-7900 to start an RMA.
How fast do components ship?
Components ship from stock the same business day if ordered before 1:00 pm EST, otherwise the next business day. Free ground delivery is available within the contiguous U.S. and typically arrives in 3–5 business days. Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, PO Boxes, and international addresses are not eligible for free shipping; international orders carry a $30 handling fee plus carrier costs.
