Tower vs Rack: Which Should You Buy?
Choose a tower when you have no rack infrastructure, need quiet operation in an office, or run a single-server site — towers stand alone, cool themselves with large low-RPM fans, and plug into a standard outlet. Choose a rack server (see our DL380 Gen10 and other DL-series) when servers live in a data closet or you plan to scale past two or three machines.
