Licensing & Add-On Options
This hardware includes the permanent, perpetual Network Essentials or Network Advantage base software stack locally on the switch. To unlock the advanced cloud capabilities, automation, or security features of the C9300X-48HX, choose from the following add-on licensing options:
- Cisco Catalyst / DNA Subscription Add-ons (3, 5, or 7-Year Terms): Available in Essentials or Advantage tiers. Required if managing via Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center). Upgrading to a DNA Advantage subscription automatically elevates your perpetual base license to Network Advantage.
- Cisco Meraki Cloud Monitoring Add-on: Manage your hardware directly within the centralized Meraki dashboard to unlock cloud-hosted monitoring and secure command-line interface tools.
- ThousandEyes Network Synthetics: Included automatically as an entitlement when adding a Cisco DNA Advantage subscription, enabling end-to-end cloud-to-campus path visualization.
- HSECK9 (High Security) License Add-on: Required if utilizing the hardware's massive 100G line-rate IPsec tunnel capability or full cryptographic throughput limits.
