The Cisco Nexus N9K-C9336C-FX2 switch is an ultra-high-performance data center and enterprise aggregation platform engineered for environments that require massive 100 Gigabit throughput, ultra-low latency, and flexible high-speed fabric design. It features 36 x 40/100 Gigabit QSFP28 ports, with broad breakout support for lower-speed Ethernet configurations, delivering exceptional bandwidth for connecting spine switches, storage fabrics, large server clusters, and high-performance aggregation infrastructure across demanding cloud and virtualized deployments. Cisco rates the 9336C-FX2 at up to 7.2 Tbps of switching capacity in a compact 1RU fixed-form design built for wire-rate Layer 2 and Layer 3 forwarding.
With the Cisco Nexus LAN Enterprise license, this model enables advanced Layer 3 routing, VXLAN/EVPN fabric services, expanded automation, MACsec-capable security, and enhanced telemetry visibility for sophisticated traffic management at scale. The Nexus 9336C-FX2 platform is also widely viewed by enterprise engineers as one of Cisco’s most versatile fixed 100G Nexus options because of its universal breakout flexibility, strong spine/leaf suitability, and long-term production stability in high-bandwidth data center environments—making it an outstanding solution for organizations building resilient, future-ready switching infrastructure designed for substantial growth.
