Supporting twelve 3.5-inch Large Form Factor drive bays, the backplane provides up to 12Gb/s SAS connectivity and supports compatible SAS and SATA hard drives and solid-state drives. Its single-expander architecture helps simplify high-density storage connectivity between the drive bays and a compatible SAS RAID controller or host bus adapter.
