Used & Refurbished Cisco Catalyst Switches

Cisco Catalyst 9300 and 9300X are stackable enterprise access switches: 24 or 48 ports, PoE+ to UPOE+, and modular 1G to 100G uplinks. Configure one online and we quote the full build.

Used Cisco Catalyst 9300 and 9300X switches, configured to order

Cisco Catalyst 9300 is Cisco’s stackable enterprise access switch for campus and branch networks: 24 or 48 copper or fiber ports, PoE+ up to UPOE+ on the PoE models, and a modular uplink slot for 1G, 10G, 25G or 40G network modules. Catalyst 9300X is the newer, faster branch of the same family, with 25G fiber or 10G multigigabit downlinks and 25G or 100G uplinks.

PCSP sells used and refurbished Catalyst 9300 and 9300X switches as complete configurations. Pick a model below, then choose the uplink module, power supplies, stacking accessories, transceivers and warranty; a sales representative replies with a quote for exactly that build. Every switch is tested before it ships and carries a 1-year PCSP warranty, extendable up to 5 years. Older Catalyst 3650, 3850 and 4500-X units in stock are listed with prices below.

Port and PoE figures are from Cisco’s Catalyst 9300 Series data sheet. The PoE budget of a switch depends on the power supplies you choose in the configuration.

Uplink modules and transceivers

The uplink module decides how the switch connects to your core. In each configuration you choose the module, then the transceivers by speed:

Catalyst 9300 modules (C9300-NM) fit only the Catalyst 9300 models, and 9300X modules (C9300X-NM) fit only the 9300X. On the C9300X-48HXN, ports 7 and 8 of the C9300X-NM-8Y and C9300X-NM-8M are disabled, so six uplink ports are usable, and a breakout cable works only on port 1 of the C9300X-NM-2C.

Transceivers are listed by speed — 1G SFP, 10G SFP+, 25G SFP28, 40G QSFP+ and, on the 9300X, 100G QSFP28 — so the optics arrive matched to the module. Stacking cables and StackPower are in the same configuration.

Licensing, software and support: what transfers

  • Network Essentials and Network Advantage are perpetual and stay with the hardware. The DNA or Catalyst subscription that Cisco requires with a new switch is a separate term license; a used switch runs without it.
  • No evaluation mode to run out. From IOS XE 17.3.2, Smart Licensing Using Policy applies and Catalyst 9000 licenses are not enforced, so features do not stop working.
  • Cisco warranty and SmartNet do not transfer. Cisco support on a secondary-market switch requires Cisco’s paid hardware inspection and relicensing. Instead, every PCSP switch carries our own warranty.
  • IOS XE downloads from Cisco require a service contract. Tell us which version you need in the quote request.

PCSP is not a Cisco authorized reseller.

How ordering works

  1. Configure. Choose the model, uplink module, power supplies, transceivers and warranty. The configurator checks port and slot counts.
  2. Request a quote. Submit the build; a sales representative replies with pricing for that exact configuration and quantity.
  3. We build and test. The switch is assembled to your configuration and tested before it ships.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell used Cisco Catalyst 9300 switches?
Yes. PCSP sells used and refurbished Catalyst 9300 and 9300X switches as complete builds: you choose the model, uplink module, power supplies, transceivers and warranty online, and we quote that configuration. Each switch is tested before it ships and carries a 1-year PCSP warranty, extendable up to 5 years.
Why is there no price on the Catalyst 9300 configurator?
The price of a 9300 depends on the uplink module, power supplies, optics and quantity, so we quote the full build instead of listing one base price. Submit your configuration and a sales representative replies with pricing.
Does a used Catalyst 9300 need a DNA license?
No. A new Catalyst 9300 is sold with a DNA or Catalyst subscription, but the Network Essentials or Network Advantage license is perpetual and stays with the hardware. A used switch runs on that license without a subscription.
Will the switch stop working without Smart Licensing registration?
No. From IOS XE 17.3.2, Catalyst 9000 switches use Smart Licensing Using Policy: there is no evaluation period and the licenses are not enforced, so features keep working without registration.
Can I get Cisco SmartNet on a used switch?
Cisco warranty and service contracts do not transfer to a secondary-market owner. Cisco offers support only after its paid hardware inspection and relicensing. Our switches carry a PCSP warranty instead: 1 year standard, extendable up to 5 years, with on-site options.
What is the difference between Catalyst 9300 and 9300X?
The 9300X is the newer, faster branch: 25G SFP28 fiber or 10G multigigabit downlinks, UPOE+ on the copper PoE models, and uplink modules up to 100G. The 9300 tops out at 40G uplinks and offers 1G, multigigabit or 1G fiber downlinks.
Which uplink module should I choose?
For a 10G uplink to the core, C9300-NM-8X (8× 10G SFP+) is the usual choice on the 9300; C9300-NM-2Y adds 25G, and C9300-NM-2Q gives 40G. On the 9300X, C9300X-NM-8Y covers 1/10/25G and C9300X-NM-2C gives 100G, and C9300X-NM-4C gives four 100G ports on the 24Y, 48HX and 48TX.
