A rack server is a computer built to mount in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. Height is measured in rack units (U): a 1U server is 1.75 inches tall, a 2U server is 3.5 inches. Rackmount design lets you stack dozens of servers in a single cabinet with shared power and cooling.
Should I buy a 1U or 2U rack server?
