Used & Refurbished Servers for Sale — What Is Actually on the Shelf

Every one of the used servers for sale on this page is hardware we hold in our own New Hudson, Michigan warehouse, not a drop-ship catalogue. As of August 2026 the shelf carries roughly 415 in-stock server configurations: about 250 Dell PowerEdge, 100 HPE ProLiant, 30 Lenovo ThinkSystem and a run of Supermicro and Cisco barebones chassis. Around 175 of those listings are build-to-order platforms — you choose the processors, memory, drives, RAID controller and NICs, and we assemble that exact machine. The rest are finished, priced units you can add to the cart today.

  • By form factor: about 170 rack-mount units — roughly 65 in 1U and 100 in 2U chassis — plus a smaller bench of tower servers for offices without a rack.
  • By platform: around 55 AMD EPYC servers and a dedicated shelf of GPU servers for inference and rendering nodes.
  • By price: priced units start near $35 for a bare chassis and reach about $59,000 for a fully loaded current-generation node. Half of everything priced falls between roughly $800 and $3,000.

Narrow by Form Factor Before You Narrow by Brand

Where the machine lives decides more than the badge on the bezel does.

  • 1U — maximum density per rack unit. Good for front-end, web, virtualisation hosts and anything where you are paying for rack space. Fewer drive bays, fewer full-height PCIe slots, louder fans.
  • 2U — the default choice for storage-heavy and mixed workloads: more bays, room for full-height cards, quieter under load. This is where most of our stock sits.
  • Tower — no rack required, tolerable noise, easy to service. Branch offices, small clinics, first-server deployments.
  • All rack servers if you would rather browse the whole rack-mount shelf at once.

Which Generation Is Worth Paying For

Our Dell inventory clusters around four generations, and the trade-off between them is straightforward:

  • 13th gen (R630, R730) — the cheapest way into a real enterprise platform. DDR4, Xeon E5 v3/v4, deep and inexpensive parts supply. Ideal for labs, backup targets and non-latency-critical services.
  • 14th gen (R640, R440) — the volume sweet spot and our largest single block of stock. Xeon Scalable, NVMe options, still priced well below new.
  • 15th and 16th gen (R750 and newer) — DDR5, PCIe Gen4/Gen5 and high core counts for workloads that genuinely need them.

On the HPE side the same logic maps onto DL380 Gen9 at the value end and DL380 Gen10 as the current workhorse. Browse the full HPE ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge and Lenovo ThinkSystem shelves, or size the array first with our RAID calculator. Not sure which level the workload needs? What is RAID? compares RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 side by side, and every build can ship with a matched RAID controller.
